Rick is the managing partner of the Kingscliff Beach Pharmacy on Marine Parade in Kingscliff on the NSW / Queensland border.
Rick has been a Pharmacist for 14 years, and together with his business partner purchased the pharmacy 2 years ago. At the time they bought the pharmacy it was very run down and hadn't had a new fit out since it was built 22 years earlier. It's been a tough couple of years with nearby construction hampering access to the pharmacy, and much investment needed to modernise the shop.
It's not all doom and gloom for Rick, who says his favourite thing about his shop is the view from his dispensary, through the trees to the ocean. The most difficult thing to contend with are the smells from the local cafes that make it hard to settle for a plain sandwich at lunchtime!
